Well ... renovate now sets a reviewer instead of an assignee which prevents automerge.

I haven't decided yet if i like that or not :/

btw forgejo is now a standalone platform from renovates pov: https://github.com/renovatebot/renovate/pull/37075

so fixing this upstream might actually a possibility

ok the assigning of reviewers is caused by forgejo itself through codeowners, that has nothing to do with renovate
